About me
I was born in Santiago de Chile in 2002, Italian-Chilean by passport, and have lived in München since 2021 when I started at TUM. I came in on a B.Sc. Management & Technology, realised after a year I wanted to actually build things rather than manage them, and switched into B.Sc. Engineering Sciences in 2022. Best decision I've made in this degree.
From September 2024 to January 2025 I was on Erasmus at Politecnico di Milano, in Engineering of Computing Systems. That year is where I got hooked on machine learning and deeper computer-science topics, which ended up shaping my bachelor thesis (a comparison of physics-driven and deep-learning models for wind power forecasting, handed in October 2025, see /projects).
Right now I'm at TUM doing the M.Sc. Development, Production and Management in Mechanical Engineering, working as a QA engineer at NEXT Munich, and trying to build interesting things in my spare time, including the site you're reading.

Football
I've been playing since I was four. Started at Club Manquehue in Santiago, then FC Unterföhring when I moved to Munich, and now I'm at VfB Sparta München. Twenty years in and it's still the part of the week I look forward to most.
Growing up in Chile I also did tennis, rugby, volleyball, and track and field. None of them stuck the way football did, but the rugby season explains some of the bruises.
Reading
I started where most kids my age did: Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, Hunger Games. These days I read mostly historical fiction. My favourite is I Am Rome by Santiago Posteguillo. It tells the story of Julius Caesar's first big trial as a courtroom thriller. Recommend it to anyone who thinks Roman history is boring.
Music
Spotify Wrapped told me my "music age" is 66, which I take as a compliment. Gustavo Cerati is my favourite artist, and Té Para Tres (Soda Stereo, 1990) is the song I'd pick if I had to keep one. I'm slowly learning guitar, "slowly" being the operative word.
Chess
I play almost every day. 205-day streak on chess.com and counting, currently 1546 in rapid. The streak is more impressive than the rating. I'm a steady-improver, not a prodigy.
